these " new and improved" pages you will meet all of my dogs, both with me in body and in my heart.
You will also meet many that started their young lives with me and are now in
wonderful homes with loving families. These are the most important homes of all. |

Here
at Mason we strive to produce pups that will mature into adults that are sound of both body and mind. I have
been owned by bloodhounds for 14 years, and by Clumbers for 8 years. Most
recently I have added the Jura Laufhund - St. Hubert variety! This is a new
breed here in North America which were originally bred in Switzerland to hunt
game. Their co-owners and I are very excited about this breed. Resembling
small
bloodhounds, our 2 foundation stock were from a hunting kennel |
- in France. They have the
appearance of being small bloodhounds, but they are really an entirely different
breed with very different personalities. On
October 25, 2000 they presented us with 13 baby Juras....as cute as buttons!

Not only have there been
conformation "stars" come out of our breeding program, but
many are also doing what bloodhounds do best....mantrailing. Some of
these have made significant finds, and have also made me proud to see
them active and working. I have received many compliments on the
"workability" of my dogs. Zack (shown right with his owner-
- handler Kevin Baughn) and his brother "Trento" (owner
handled by Mike Ghezzi) are working in California.

- Still others are doing
what I consider to possibly be the most important job of all....loving
their families. These dogs take this job VERY seriously, and excel at what
they do! We have yet to place any clumbers into hunting homes, but they
too have made us proud by taking their jobs as couch potatoes
very seriously!
